What is Functional Medicine? Aren’t you a Chiropractor?

Fundamental Health Solutions Posted on July 28, 2012 by fhsadminOctober 3, 2016

Functional Medicine is a term used to describe an approach to health. Board Certified Functional Medicine practitioners study and take Boards to become certified. Functional Medicine is a term used to describe a Wholistic approach to addressing health challenges through natural and minimally-invasive means by correcting the cause of your problems. Most conventional practitioners aren’t concerned with restoring function. Practitioners of Functional Medicine look at the biological functions that are causing the dysfunctions in a person’s health, and then work with their patients to remove the causes of dysfunction.

Practicing Medicine involves utilizing drugs and surgery as a primary course of action, and is focused on disease treatment. At Fundamental Health Solutions, our solutions are drug free using diet, exercise, nutrition, sleep, functional immunology, and functional endocrinology. We treat the entire individual, not a specific condition in one part of your body.
